Sauer based the geometry of the stock on that of their higher-end rifles: the S101 and S404. It has a slight palm swell that fit my hand beautifully and is shaped in such a way that my finger aligned perfectly with the trigger. Even better, there is plenty of clearance under the amply sized bolt handle for the trigger finger, so you never have.
I have been lurking here for a bit, and was originally set on an AR platform because that is what I am most familiar with, but you guys have changed my mind. I was doing my due diligence an researching the heck out of all the different rifles available to me, and I found that I really like the SSG 3000. It seems to have great reviews, even though it isn't commercially available in the US anymore. I know that parts availability would be limited, but I think the only things that I would add to it would be a scope/rings/bi-pod. I see the T3 talked about a lot on here, and it seems like an exceptional rifle. So, if I have to choose between the two (or if you want to steer me in a different direction) I would love to hear what you think about one vs the other.
Thanks in advance.
Some more information:
I would like to shoot 1,000 meters (I don't have a place to do this right now, but that is my goal.)
I am not really looking to hunt with the rifle, but wouldn't totally rule it out in the future.
Total budget: $3,000ish
I do not currently reload, but again, would not rule it out in the future.
